Telephone calls that Amber Frey (search) secretly taped while talking with Scott Peterson (search) have become a key aspect of her testimony during his double-murder trial.

Following is a transcript of one conversation recorded Jan. 1, 2003. Peterson's wife, Laci Peterson (search), had been missing more than a week when he had this talk with his mistress. The recording was obtained by FOX's "On the Record With Greta Van Susteren."

FREY: Yeah. Did you get my messages?

PETERSON: Yeah, I heard one.

FREY: Yeah. Is that the one about not going to San Francisco because Denise has to breastfeed?

PETERSON: Yeah.

FREY: I'm like, "Oh, my God, Denise, are you kidding me?" She's like ... she's like, "Well, I can't. I just ... I want to, but I can't. I mean it's just ..." And Gurmella finally called me today, can you believe that?

PETERSON: Ha-ha-ha (laugh).

FREY: He did not call me and the last time I talked to him was on Friday, when I went to his work and he said we were definitely going to Hawaii. And then I didn't hear from him until today. He said ... he put it ... he gave the money to somebody and a friend and I said I couldn't believe he gave it to him. Excuse me, and then um ... (clears throat) he um ... said, "Well, if you want to go again, just let me know and I'll give you the money." And I was like oh, my God. I go, "Why didn't ... what didn't you call me?" And he said, "What am I gonna say?" You know, what was there for me to say, you know, I just ... I gave the money to somebody and they [expletive] me." He was cussing left and right. It was ... it was kind of hilarious because he was so pissed about it.

PETERSON: Yeah.

FREY: And uh ...

PETERSON: Did you give him money?

FREY: No, I didn't give him any money.

PETERSON: Oh, you hadn't given him any money?

FREY: No, no, no, unh-uh. No, he gave him ... he said he gave him $5,000 for the tickets for the hotel arrangements and everything and they took all of it (laugh) and there was no ... there was no ... the um Fashion Fare Travel is who he thought he ... he gave it to this guy and his aunt, and it's no longer there. It was ... it was a place, but she's not there. And I said, "I can't believe you would even trust or lose such a scam on stuff," cause he's done so many scams together, I've heard all their stories and it's funny. But I just ... I laughed. I said, "I can't believe you even gave him $5,000."

PETERSON: Heh-heh.

FREY: So it was ... it was funny, but so anyway I was glad he called because I was really, you know, upset that he hadn't called me for so many days and we were supposed to have left on the 28th so ...

PETERSON: Yeah, that's crazy.
