"My daughter's best friend just returned from 369 days in Iraq with the 220th MP unit from Fort Carson, Colorado...
One week while she was there, temperatures rose to 158 degrees for about a week! My grandson's father also just returned from Iraq, and said where he was stationed it would get to 156 degrees with 100 percent humidity!
Despite the heat, both soldiers report that we're doing the right thing by being there and that the Iraqi people appreciate our efforts!"

"Jason is serving in Iraq right now. He went to war as a medic so that he could save lives. He has received a combat medics badge for being in a firefight and taking care of wounds while under fire."

"Our son, Brad, has been stationed in Iraq since April of 2003. He tells us about all of the great progress taking place there as a direct result of our soldiers and Iraqi citizens. Iraqi children are back in classrooms with books and Iraqis can now question their neighborhood leaders without fear of being shot. We are very proud of our son, Brad, and all our troops everywhere in the world."

My 20-year-old son, Corey, was stationed in Baghdad for a year as a Blackhawk crewman. He returned to his wife and new baby in Germany earlier this month.
After a week and a half, he was informed he would be returning to Iraq for four more months.
His mother and I are very proud of him and never miss an opportunity to tell him so.
We miss him everyday and can't wait for him to come home.

Patti Sayer regarding her son, Specialist James R. Williams with the 320th MPCO:
"James has been stationed in Iraq since March 2003. He says that the majority of Iraqis have treated him and his buddies like 'rock stars.' Everywhere they went, there were people thanking them for freeing the Iraqi people from Saddam."

My son is serving in Iraq right now. I am so proud of him. His father served in Vietnam. Sadly, his father passed away shortly before 9/11. My son went to war as a medic so that he could save lives. He has received a combat medics badge for being in a firefight and taking care of wounds while under fire. He has a wife and two children waiting for him at home.
I love you Jason. Stay safe.
