I have some viewers mad at me. You judge: Who is right? Here is the controversy:

We have a new poll on our show page and on Foxnews.com. Here is the poll question and the choices for February 17:

How do you describe your interest in Mel Gibson's new movie "The Passion of the Christ"?

Extreme
Somewhat
Not at all
Never heard of it

Do you find this foregoing poll question in any way insulting?

Believe it or not, several people sent me e-mails complaining about the wording and stating it is insulting to those who are looking forward to the movie. Those viewers complain that the choice "extreme" was suggesting that the people who are looking forward to the movie are "extremists." Of course that interpretation is taking a huge leap. I will apologize when I have offended, but I am not going to plead guilty to this one. I was merely attempting to identify those who are very eagerly awaiting the release of the movie.

In re-reading the poll and the complaining e-mails, I can't help but wonder if some people have too much time on their hands. Why not assume a good intention -- rather than manufacture a bad one?
