Senate candidate Elizabeth Dole's campaign changed a television advertisement after three Democrats said the spot made it appear they support the Republican.

The ad, defending Dole's plan to reform Social Security, used video footage from a May 17 American Cancer Society Relay for Life event at which Dole spoke.

Lillie Harris, 66, Reba Jones, 86, and Naomi Roberson, 60, all of whom appeared in the ad without permission, contacted the state Democratic Party about the ad on Thursday.

The Dole campaign pulled the ad after a newspaper called about the complaints. her husband, a cancer survivor.

"Mrs. Dole said nothing to me. I was not there to see her. I don't support her, and I don't support her views," Harris said.
