Reese's 'Withering' accent, Shatner's new gig and a Dutchess all in the regal glow of The Foxlight.
Reese Witherspoon is legally bland according to some critics of The Importance of Being Earnest. But it's not for trying. Her dialect coach made her go to British cafes and pubs to try out her accent. She says it "was completely mortifying" to do the accent in front of Judi Dench. No word on the Dame's reaction.
Want proof that William Shatner's Priceline.com options must not be worth much? He's signed to host a Sci-Fi Channel B-Movie show called William Shatner's Full Moon Fright Night. Just so he doesn't moon us. The films might not be "quite Oscar caliber." Hey, maybe he's in some of them. And here's the best part: He'll personally re-enact some of the gruesome moments from that night's fright film.
Will all the guests have to bow and curtsey? Sarah Ferguson is getting a talk show, something she's wanted for years. She's signed a deal with the same people who produce The Maury Povich Show. The producers describe the show as "an inspiring daily, one-hour syndicated talk-variety show." Kind of like a really long Weight Watcher's commercial. Fergie says, "I'm not talent, I'm not a celebrity, I'm not an actress, I am just me. I love being with people, whether they're famous or not."
And that's the always famous or not world of celebrity shows, "dohs" and occasional blows we duck every day in three round glow of The Foxlight.
