FRED BARNES, CO-HOST: Mort's in the hot seat, and here's our Tip Sheet for next week's action.

Item number one, British Prime Minister Tony Blair will visit President Bush at his Texas ranch next week. It's a real honor for Blair.  I mean, being in Crawford is it, right?

MORT KONDRACKE, CO-HOST: This is, this is Churchill and Roosevelt...

BARNES: Yes.

KONDRACKE: ... this is a war summit...

BARNES: Right.

KONDRACKE: ... but Blair supposedly has new evidence on Saddam Hussein's involvement in terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.  They're going to – I hope they'll come out with it. I'm sure that...

BARNES: (UNINTELLIGIBLE)...

KONDRACKE: ... I'm sure that Blair will not convince Crown Prince Abdullah...

BARNES: Yes.

KONDRACKE: ... but maybe some Europeans.

BARNES: Yes, Blair will give a speech outlining this evidence against Saddam Hussein, just like he gave a speech before the war in Afghanistan, outlining the evidence against Saddam Hussein – Usama bin Laden. All right.

Item number two, Islamic nations will meet in Malaysia next week with the hopes of rebuilding their post-9/11 image among Westerners.

KONDRACKE: Well, all they have to do is condemn Palestinian terrorists and all terrorists, Islamic terrorists, and support the United States against Saddam Hussein. You think they'll do it?

BARNES: Nah.

KONDRACKE: Fat chance.

BARNES: Well, you know, I mean, there is another suggestion for them to dispel the image that in the West, the, the perception that it's Muslims who are chiefly responsible for terrorism.

KONDRACKE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE), but it is.

BARNES: (UNINTELLIGIBLE), well, that's why they have to stop the terrorism.

KONDRACKE: Right.

BARNES: That would, that would help dispel that...

KONDRACKE: Right.

BARNES: ... perception. OK.

Item three, North Carolina John Edwards has his own idea of a spring break, and that's fund raising. Edward, Edwards plans stops in California, Massachusetts, and Iowa next week.

KONDRACKE: Well, the "Hotline," the, the newsletter...

BARNES: Sure.

KONDRACKE: ... said that Edwards has got more Jefferson Jackson Day dinners than any other 2004 Democratic candidate.

BARNES: You know, people say Edwards hasn't been around long enough, he didn't have enough experience, he's not old enough, blah, blah, blah.  You know, voters don't care about that. He's either a good candidate or not. So far, he's been a pretty good one.

Item four, our very own Mort Kondracke will appear on Oprah Winfrey this Wednesday to discuss Parkinson's research and awareness. Well, what about it?

KONDRACKE: Well, actually this was a show that's basically dedicated to my hero, Michael J. Fox...

BARNES: Right.

KONDRACKE: ... a leader of the Parkinson's movement, and his book, "Lucky Man," which is going to be a blockbuster...

BARNES: Yes.

KONDRACKE: ... I was there sort of as a, as a add-on. But I was glad to be there.

BARNES: Yes, but your book, "Saving Millie," is coming out in a paperback edition.

KONDRACKE: It is.

BARNES: All right. And item number five, major league baseball's opening day is Monday, April 1. Let's play ball.

KONDRACKE: Well, George Bush, the great baseball fan, has yet to go to Camden Yards in Baltimore to see the Orioles play.

BARNES: Right.

KONDRACKE: Why? I suspect it's because he detests Peter Angelos (ph), who is a trial lawyer, and the owner of the, and the Orioles. You know something?

BARNES: Yes?

KONDRACKE: I hate him too.

BARNES: Yes, (UNINTELLIGIBLE)...

KONDRACKE: I mean, he's...

BARNES: He's blocking a team in Washington, and Bush is waiting for a team in Washington to throw out the ball and open the...

(CROSSTALK)

BARNES: ... as presidents have in the past.

KONDRACKE: ... the Orioles, too. Yes, he's (UNINTELLIGIBLE) the Orioles.

BARNES: Right.
