George Bush is going to have to face up to how bad things are in the Middle East. It's so bad that in Israel, the doves, like former prime minister Ehud Barak, are talking about building a wall between the Israelis and the Palestinians. The hawks are talking about something far more drastic, a war against the Palestinian Authority, demolishing all of its infrastructure, like police stations and so on, and driving Yasser Arafat back into exile in Tunis or somewhere like that.

BILL SAMMON, GUEST HOST: Well, on Capitol Hill, Democrats expect that the first component of the Bush energy plan that'll be jettisoned will be the part that calls for more nuclear power plants, which is sort of a hot button issue among environmentalists, much the same way that the first component of Bush's education plan to be jettisoned was the voucher component. So watch for that.
