Anne Marie Smith, the 39-year-old flight attendant who says she had an affair with Rep. Gary Condit, told the Fox News Channel Wednesday she believes the congressman knows more about the disappearance of Chandra Levy than he is letting on.

During a second exclusive with Fox News, Smith told Fox News' Rita Cosby and Tony Snow that she found long, brown hair in Condit's apartment. When she asked him about it, he told her it must be hers.
In hindsight, Smith said she believes the hairs might have belonged to Levy, a federal intern who has been missing since April 30.
"I found some hairs in his bathrooms," said Smith, who met with federal authorities for six hours Wednesday. "And you know how girls are; I was very suspicious and I asked him, 'Whose hairs are these?' And he said, 'Well, they're yours.' And I said, 'No, they're not.' They're not my hairs, and they were long, brown hairs. And I think that was the end of the discussion."
She said the search of Condit's apartment that authorities conducted early Wednesday morning probably won't turn up much because of the 10 weeks that have passed since Levy went missing.
"I think there's a lot more that he knows that he's not telling," Smith told Cosby on Special Report with Brit Hume. "I hope he had nothing to do with it."
But Smith said Condit never physically lashed out toward her during their 10-month long relationship.
"He's never shown violent tendencies toward me," said the United Airlines flight attendant, who met Condit on a flight from San Francisco to D.C. "He's always been very gentle, very nice, very kind."
Spokespeople for Condit, 53, have characterized his relationship with the 24-year-old Bureau of Prisons intern as a "good friendship," but Levy's mother and aunt say Chandra told them she was having an affair with the married congressman and was in love with him.
The disappearance has stumped police, who have still not named an official suspect or used the word crime to characterize it, instead maintaining that the investigation remains a missing persons case.
Levy, of Modesto, Calif., was last seen canceling her membership at a Washington health club. Her internship with the federal Bureau of Prisons had just ended, and she was planning to return home for graduation ceremonies at the University of Southern California.
Police and Abbe Lowell, Condit's attorney, continued to discuss whether and under what conditions the California Democrat would take a lie detector test, a suggestion first made by Levy's mother on Monday.
Smith told Fox News Wednesday she also believes the congressman should submit to a polygraph.
"I think he should, and I'm not absolutely sure what the results would be," she said. "I think he can be very manipulative."
Smith has said that she had a 10-month affair with Condit within the past year, and police sources have said that they were looking into Condit's relationships with five or six other women.
Smith has contended that Condit wanted her to sign a statement denying the affair she says they had.
Condit has not commented on any relationship with Smith, but in a statement last week said he never asked anyone to lie.
