Ryu dominate as Dodgers beat Reds

Hyun-Jin Ryu spun seven innings of one-run ball to guide the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds in the third of a four-game set.

Ryu (9-3) scattered two hits and a walk while fanning nine to earn his third straight win. Over his last eighth home starts, Ryu is 5-0 with a 2.10 earned run average.

Skip Schumaker hit a two-run homer while Adrian Gonzalez and Hanley Ramirez added one RBI apiece for the Dodgers, who have gone 25-6 since June 21 and sit 1 1/2 games ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks atop the NL West standing.

Jay Bruce provided the only offense for the Reds with a solo homer in the second inning.

Bronson Arroyo (9-8) gave up three runs on eight hits over 5 1/3 innings to absorb the loss.
