Red Bull New York Designated Player Rafa Marquez has been ruled out of action for at least two weeks with a hamstring strain, it was revealed Tuesday.

Marquez has been plagued by injuries for much of the season, but this particular injury was sustained in the early going of the club's 1-1 draw with the New England Revolution on Saturday. The Mexican was subbed off in the 35th minute.

"He hasn't had the possibility to be consistent in training this season," Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe told MLSsoccer.com. "He's been in and out, injuries and things like that, so it's not really a really a surprise that you pick up things. I would say it's quite common."
