A pair of free throws from Samantha Prahalis with 22 seconds left lifted the Phoenix Mercury to an 89-87 win over the Tulsa Shock.

With the game tied at 87-87 and just 28.7 seconds remaining Candice Dupree pulled down one of her game-high nine rebounds and called a quick timeout. The Mercury threw the ball in to Prahalis who was immediately fouled.

After Prahalis sunk the free throws, an Ivory Latta three at the buzzer missed and the Mercury held on for their first win of the season.

Dupree finished the game with 31 points, also a game high, while DeWanna Bonner poured in 16. Charde Houston chipped in with 13 points off the bench.

Karima Christmas and Temeka Johnson led Tulsa with 16 points apiece and Jennifer Lacy added 11 for the Shock who remain winless in 2012.
