Jets place Halischuk on IR, bring Galiardi back

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Winnipeg Jets placed forward Matt Halischuk on injured reserve Friday.

Halischuk has picked up two goals and five assists in 38 games during his second season in Winnipeg.

The club recalled forward T.J. Galiardi from St. John's of the American Hockey League to fill the roster spot, only hours after assigning him to the IceCaps.

Galiardi has picked up only one assist in 26 appearances in the NHL this year.
