Diamondbacks acquire Bell from Orioles

Infielder Josh Bell, who was designated for assignment Tuesday, has been traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for a player to be named later.

The Orioles designated Bell for assignment when they claimed catcher Luis Exposito off waivers from Boston.

The 25-year-old Bell batted .200 with three homers and 18 RBI over his first two seasons in the majors, both with Baltimore.
