Coastal Carolina sets 12-game schedule

Coastal Carolina football will play six home games in 2013 and complete a 12-game regular season with a visit to the University of South Carolina.

The Chanticleers will be relocated to the west sideline of Benton Field, beginning with a Sept. 7 home opener against Furman.

Their other non-conference home games will be against Hampton (Sept. 21) and Charlotte (Nov. 2, Homecoming). They also will host Big South rivals Gardner- Webb (Oct. 19), VMI (Oct. 26) and Presvyterian (Nov. 16).

Coastal will visit South Carolina in Columbia on Nov. 23.

Coastal is coming off an 8-5 campaign in coach Joe Moglia's first season. The Chanticleers shared the Big South title and won an FCS playoff game.
