Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Kansas City Chiefs made a trio of moves on Wednesday, re-signing safety Husain Abdullah, while inking both free-agent linebacker Joe Mays and offensive lineman Jeff Linkenbach.

"We are excited to be able to bring back Husain Abdullah, as well as add Joe Mays and Jeff Linkenbach to our roster," Chiefs GM John Dorsey said. "All three of these men will add depth and talent to our team as we continue to build for the 2014 season."

Abdullah played in 16 games for the Chiefs last season (two starts), totaling 27 tackles, one interception returned for a score and half a sack.

The fifth-year pro has racked up 189 tackles, five picks and 2 1/2 sacks over 70 games with Minnesota (2008-11) and Kansas City.

Mays completed his lone season with the Houston Texans by recording 67 tackles, one sack and one safety over 14 games. Since breaking into the league with Philadelphia in 2008, the North Dakota State product can claim 220 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks over 61 contests.

Linkenbach, a Cincinnati product, spent his entire four-year NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts. He participated in 60 games, 33 of those as a starter.
