Cal cruises past Utah

Layshia Clarendon scored 18 points to guide No. 6 California to its season-high eighth straight win, 66-53, over Arizona State.

Talia Caldwell added 14 points, while Gennifer Brandon finished with 10 points and 15 boards for the Golden Bears (20-2, 10-1 Pac-12), who haven't lost since Jan. 8 against Stanford. Brittany Boyd chipped in 11 points.

Joy Burke had 16 points and Haley Videckis added 11 for the Sun Devils (11-12, 3-8), who have lost four in a row.

Cal scored 15 of the game's first 21 points and held a 36-25 lead at the half. The double-digit margin remained throughout the second half.
