Bryans capture sixth Australian Open doubles crown

Bob and Mike Bryan captured their sixth Australian Open men's doubles title with a straight-set win over the Dutch tandem of Robin Haase and Igor Sjisling.

The Bryan twins posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory on Saturday, also becoming the most successful Grand Slam doubles team of all-time with their 13th career major championship. They surpassed the mark of 12 Grand Slam doubles titles by Tony Roche and John Newcombe.

"It feels real good to have that record," said Mike Bryan. "To be a part of history is pretty special. We weren't thinking about it much out there, but now that we have it, it's going to be fun to look back on our career and say we have the most Grand Slams."

The Bryans opened a 4-1 lead and won the first set in just 23 minutes. A break in the third game of the second set was all the Americans needed en route to a 53-minute triumph.

It was the ninth Aussie Open doubles final in the last 10 years for the Bryans, who previously won the championship in 2006 and '07, then again from 2009-11 before losing to Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek in last year's final.
