Dallas Stars left wing Jamie Benn, Toronto forward Joffrey Lupul and Ottawa goaltender Craig Anderson have been named the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the week ending January 8.

Benn notched four goals and three assists in three games for the Stars last week to earn the First Star honor. He picked up multiple points in each outing, including a two-goal game in a 4-1 win over Edmonton on January 7. The 22-year-old British Columbia native leads the Stars with 41 points in 40 games.

Lupul was awarded the Second Star after registering two goals and five assists in three games. He picked up the 300th point of his NHL career in a one-goal, three-assist effort on January 3 against Tampa Bay and scored the winning goal while adding an assist in a 4-3 triumph over Detroit on January 7.

Anderson garnered the Third Star after posting a record of 3-0-1 with a 2.41 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage in four appearances last week. He led the Senators to wins over the Devils and Lightning to start the week, notching his fourth assist in the overtime triumph over New Jersey, then helped the team earn a home-and-home split this past weekend against the Flyers.
