Angels' Aybar lands on DL

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have placed shortstop Erick Aybar on the 15-day disabled list with a a left heel contusion.

Aybar was removed from Tuesday's game against Oakland with the injury.

The team also put right-hander Kevin Jepsen on the 15-day DL with a right shoulder strain.

Also Saturday, the Angels recalled outfielder J.B Shuck from Triple-A Salt Lake, selected pitcher Michael Roth from Salt Lake, and designated outfielder Scott Cousins for assignment.
