3B Chipper Jones held out of Braves lineup

Published November 20, 2014

Associated Press

ATLANTA (AP) — Braves third baseman Chipper Jones is being held out of the lineup against Milwaukee after he sustained a mild left hamstring strain the previous night.

Jones says the injury is not serious. His status for Sunday's game is uncertain.

Brooks Conrad is starting for Jones at third base Saturday night.

The Braves also are without All-Star catcher Brian McCann and right fielder Jason Heyward, who were rested against Brewers left-hander Chris Narveson. Heyward crashed into the right-field wall on Thursday night but remained in the game and started Friday.

Omar Infante is starting in right field and David Ross is behind the plate for Atlanta.
