Give credit to Panthers forward Alexsander Barkov -- he was willing to dip into his bag of tricks to try to beat Carey Price, but it's not easy to fool one of the best goaltenders in the world.

The 21-year-old Barkov tried a fancy through-the-legs move in space during Tuesday's three-on-three overtime in Montreal. It's a move that hockey fans have seen work plenty of times in the past, and it was a great display of creativity and quick thinking on Barkov's part.

The move was awesome, but the save just happened to be better.

While sliding from left-to-right, Price recognized Barkov's intentions and managed to get full extension against the grain to stop the shot with either the blocker or the pad. It was one of those saves that people have come to expect from Price. Still, Barkov couldn't believe that his trickery didn't result in a goal, and it's hard to blame him.

Fortunately for Barkov and the Panthers, the stop didn't rob them of the win. Florida managed to get one past Price just a few moments later. Ironically, it was a pretty ugly goal, as Aaron Ekblad's stick snapped on a shot attempt and the puck just trickled past Price for the game-winner.
