When NASCAR introduced the elimination format for the Chase for the Sprint Cup in 2014, Kevin Harvick was just getting fitted into his No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet. At the end of that season, Harvick secured his first Sprint Cup championship and he hasn't looked back since. After coming up short at Homestead last year with a chance to repeat as champion, Harvick has been the most consistent driver in 2016.

Though he only has two wins under his belt this season, Harvick has finished second four times and posted a whopping 20 top-10 finishes. He's also finished in the top-20 in all but two races this year.

Harvick has posted the best overall average finish this season at 8.5, a full spot ahead of second ranked Brad Keselowski (9.7). That type of consistency is why Harvick is projected to make it to Homestead in most Chase grid predictions.
