BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) The Sprint Cup race at Bristol Motor Speedway is back underway after a stoppage of nearly 90 minutes because of bad weather.

The race's 8 p.m. start was delayed more than an hour, then drivers got in only 38 laps before officials brought things to a stop as rain, sometimes heavy, pelted the track.

Kyle Busch is the race leader with Chase Elliott in second, Ryan Blaney third, Denny Hamlin fourth and Matt Kenseth fifth. Pole-sitter Carl Edwards had fallen to seventh when the race was stopped.

Air Titan dryers spent much of the 1-hour, 24-minute stoppage circling the track to keep conditions in check to return to racing.
