The Premier League season is only two weekends away, but Hull City are still a hot mess and now even their own players are trolling them.

Hull defender Curtis Davies posted a "squad photo" from training camp in Austria on Thursday, and it features just NINE players.

It looks like a joke, but it really isn't. Hull literally have just nine experienced professionals who could suit up right now. The situation is so dire, Jake Livermore has already reached out to the team cook to see if he can fill in at forward.

Nothing has gone right for the newly promoted side this summer. Four players from last season's squad have suffered long-term injuries, including captain Michael Dawson. Several others like Livermore and Tom Huddlestone have also missed time.

Oh, and Hull are also still without a manager after Steve Bruce quit over the club's refusal to bolster the squad in the transfer market. Bruce had demanded six or seven signings to help Hull survive in their return to the top flight. Instead the club lost seven to injury already, and one of their best players from last season, Mohamed Diame, left the club for relegated Newcastle United.

With Hull's season opener against champions Leicester City fast approaching, the team couldn't be in worse shape. But at least they're still keeping their sense of humor -- for now.
