WASHINGTON (AP) Power forward Andrew Nicholson has agreed to a $26 million, four-year deal with the Washington Wizards.

Nicholson's agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed the terms of the deal Sunday. NBA players can't sign free-agent contracts until Thursday.

Nicholson wrote on Twitter: ''Truly blessed and honored to be part of the wizards organization! Thank you for this opportunity (and) can't wait to be in uniform!''

The 6-foot-9, 250-pound Canadian averaged 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds last season, while playing under 15 minutes per game, for the Orlando Magic. He appeared in 56 games, all as a substitute.

Nicholson's contract was first reported by Yahoo Sports.
