The Toronto Blue Jays routed the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday night, but they lost their All-Star right fielder Friday.

Jose Bautista left Thursday's 13-2 win to get X-rays on his left big toe after he ran into the outfield fence trying to chase down a fly ball in the bottom of the seventh inning. The team ordered an MRI for Friday and placed him on the 15-day disabled list Friday afternoon.

Bautista, 35, is hitting .230 with 12 home runs and 41 RBI one season after his 40 home runs helped lead the Blue Jays to the American League Championship Series. Toronto is 38-31 this season, just two games behind first-place Baltimore in the AL East. The Blue Jays have won 19 of their last 27 games after a 19-23 start.
