ZURICH --

FIFA President Gianni Infantino says a criminal complaint is possible over an unauthorized recording that revealed comments to damage his reputation.

Infantino tells Sunday's edition of Swiss daily Le Matin he has ''a good idea'' how the recording of a FIFA Council meeting last month was leaked.

Infantino says: ''I reserve the right to make a complaint about theft of sensitive data.''

Leaks to German-language newspapers showed Infantino describe a $2 million salary offer as ''insulting,'' and Council talks about getting FIFA audit and compensation panels chairman Domenico Scala to leave.

Infantino's interview is his first since Thursday's Swiss police evidence raid at FIFA headquarters for ongoing investigations of suspected criminal mismanagement.

He says police searched the office of recently fired finance director Markus Kattner, but not his own.
