The Tampa Bay Lightning found an insanely cool way to entertain fans between periods.

It can sometimes be tough to find ways to keep fans entertained between periods of a hockey game. Some teams employ the traditional zamboni ride or a short scrimmage for local youth teams.

But the Tampa Bay Lightning stepped up their between-period entertainment Wednesday night with this awesome projection on the ice.

That's right. That's a rink-sized game of Mario Kart.

It's unknown whether the players were fans or team employees, but it looks like an excellent way to help the 15 minutes between periods go by faster for impatient fans.
