Demetrious Johnson will return to action, putting his flyweight title on the line as the co-main event when he faces Wilson Reis at UFC 201 on July 30 in Atlanta.

The new fight was announced during "UFC Tonight" on Wednesday.

It was just a week ago when the UFC announced that Johnson would defend his flyweight title in December against the winner of the next season of "The Ultimate Fighter"

Apparently those plans will stay the same, with the winner of the reality competition facing the flyweight champion, but Johnson will have to beat Reis first in July to get there.

Johnson most recently dispatched Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo by first-round TKO in their fight at UFC 197, where "Mighty Mouse" defended his title for the eighth consecutive time.

Reis will get his first crack at UFC gold when he faces Johnson in July. He's won three out of his past four bouts, including a victory over Dustin Ortiz in his most recent trip to the Octagon.

Reis is a veteran fighter with 26 professional bouts on his resume and an overall record of 4-2 in the UFC.

UFC 201 is headlined by a welterweight title fight between Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley.
