German airline Lufthansa has produced a light-hearted advert ahead of Euro 2016 that pokes fun at England fans traveling to France.

The European Championship kicks off on June 10, when hosts France take on Romania at the Stade de France. England begin their tournament against Russia on June 11, and Germany face Ukraine a day later.

Just six weeks after the Three Lions beat Die Mannschaft 3-2 in Berlin, Lufthansa have decided to ratchet up the rivalry with the funny commercial.

The 45-second advert starts off with two very well-dressed England supporters wearing scarves in the airport terminal building. On arrival they realize their flight has been canceled before being rebooked onto a Lufthansa aircraft, to which one of the England fans exclaims: "We're flying with the Germans?!"

The following scene plays to German stereotypes held by some English folk. Onboard the plane the younger fan is seated in front of a Bavarian "oompah band" and served with some unappetizing sauerkraut and sausage.

Meanwhile, he is subjected to repeats of past German soccer victories before turning around to see a kid holding up four fingers -- presumably to signify the amount of times Germany have won the World Cup.

Thankfully for the Three Lions supporter he wakes up and it was all a dream.

Well, apart from the boy!
