England striker Danny Welbeck could be a doubt for the European Championship after limping out of Arsenal's 2-2 draw at Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday with a right knee injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says ''the first signs look like lateral meniscus. He looks down, and he's not a guy who likes to go off. I'm a bit worried.''

Welbeck received treatment for the problem in the 23rd minute of the game at Etihad Stadium. He tried to play on, but almost immediately walked off the field and down the tunnel toward the dressing room.

If fit, Welbeck is expected to be one of five strikers being taken to Euro 2016 by England manager Roy Hodgson. He is also an option to England on the wing.
