The passing of music/pop culture legend David Bowie this week has inspired one low-level minor-league affiliate of the Houston Astros to put together a fitting tribute for next season.

On June 24, the Lancaster JetHawks, Houston's Class-A affiliate in Lancaster, California, will put on a David Bowie Tribute Fireworks Night.

The club announced the event with a graphic that it shared on Twitter on Friday:

Few cultural icons left as much of an impact on the world as Bowie managed in his 69 years, so this type of celebration of his music and contributions will serve as a fitting homage.

Here's hoping the JetHawks also wear Bowie-inspired jerseys featuring the lightning bolt design seen in the image above, as those would look pretty slick as well.
