Coming off a relatively surprising AL West title in 2015, the Texas Rangers will look to repeat next season - but they'll have to address a few areas in need of improvement in order to make that happen.

At the annual winter meetings of MLB general managers last week, Rangers GM Jon Daniels spoke about the club's focus, expressing that the team could be willing to making an upgrade at catcher under the right circumstances. He also admitted that teams have inquired about the availaibility of outfielder Leonys Martin.

According to MLB.com's Brian McTaggart, Daniels noted that he and his front office might focus on the trade market rather than the free agent market in order to make any roster tweaks ahead of next season:

With Texas perhaps in the market for a starting pitcher, more bullpen help and/or a middle-of-the-order type bat, Daniels and his staff have their hands full for the next few months.
