We can now safely conclude that neither Leonard Fournette or Trevone Boykin is going to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy.
The field is narrowing, but separation between the candidates -- particularly the running backs -- is slim to none.
1. Alabama RB Derrick Henry. He followed up a 210-yard night against LSU with 204 against Mississippi State, including highlight-reel touchdown runs of 74 and 65 yards. He's certainty the front-runner but not uncatchable.
2. Florida State RB Dalvin Cook. If Henry is No. 1, Cook is No. 1A. In fact, he's averaging slightly more yards per game (152.1) than Henry (145.8) and is way ahead of the pack with a ridiculous 8.05 yards per carry.
3. Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield. Already the nation's second-rated passer, Mayfield put on a show in the Sooners' big win at Baylor. He's completing more than 70 percent of his passes for 3,082 yards, 31 TDs and 5 INTs.
4. Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott, who racked up 181 yards and two TDs against Illinois, has a chance to soar up this list what with high-profile games against Michigan State and Michigan the next two weeks.
5. Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey. Stanford lost to Oregon but not without 244 all-purpose yards from its sophomore running back, who's now hit 200-plus in seven games and remains the national all-purpose leader.
