Watch Blake Griffin split two defenders and go coast-to-coast for the slam

While the rest of the NBA fawns over the historic job Stephen Curry is doing in Oakland, Clippers fans are taking notice of the quiet MVP campaign Blake Griffin is putting up this season.

Despite the loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday, Griffin put up 35 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists without Chris Paul, and did cool stuff that other big men can't do like this:

How many players 6-foot-10 or taller could do that? One? Kevin Durant? That's it?

Griffin's finish was the least impressive part. The fact that he started with three Rockets in front of him, and one hounding him from behind, and somehow found a way to not only split the Ty Lawson-Clint Capela trap, but then also get by both Trevor Ariza and James Harden and slam it home speaks volumes to Griffin's ball-handling, court vision, speed and freakish athleticism.

Griffin is averaging 29.3 points on 59.8 percent shooting, 9.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists this season, and is certainly in the MVP conversation behind Curry.
