PHOENIX (AP) The Arizona Diamondbacks have exercised their options on Brad Ziegler and Josh Collmenter for next season.

Ziegler will make $5.5 million and Collmenter gets $1.85 million. If Ziegler's option had been declined, he would have received a $1 million buyout.

The sidearm-throwing Ziegler moved into the closer's role early last season and went 0-3 with a 1.85 ERA and 30 saves in 32 chances. Barring an offseason acquisition, the 36-year-old right-hander will go into next season as Arizona's closer.

Collmenter was the Diamondbacks' opening-day starter but was ineffective and moved to the bullpen, filling a long relief role. The 29-year-old right-hander finished 4-6 with a 3.79 ERA.
