Playing in its first game of the post-Al Golden era, Miami showed its still willing hustle as the Hurricanes pounced on a loose ball in the end zone for their second touchdown of the game against Duke.

The Hurricanes were knocking on the door of the end zone when running back Walter Tucker took a handoff and plunged into the end zone. Tucker was stripped by a Duke defender, but teammate Sunny Odogwu was quick to locate the ball and pounce on it for a touchdown and a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.
