Lyon collected their third consecutive home win by sinking struggling Toulouse 3-0 at the Stade de Gerland.

Sergi Darder, Mathieu Valbuena and Maxwell Cornet netted in a routine victory that stretched the visitors' winless run to 10 matches. Darder opened the scoring in the 18th minute when he collected Valbuena's pass and drilled his shot into the bottom corner.

Jeremy Morel almost doubled the advantage five minutes later when he met a cross from Alexandre Lacazette but his header flew wide. Darder went closer just after the half-hour mark when he crashed another Lacazette cross against a post.

Valbuena's shot was then saved by Ali Ahamada, before Toulouse finally got a sight of the Lyon goal as Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro fired wide. Shortly before half-time Lacazette's header flew inches wide from Valbuena's left-wing cross.

Martin Braithwaite could have equalised for the visitors moments after the restart, but headed Oscar Trejo's corner just off target. Darder and Claudio Beauvue went close for Lyon before the second goal eventually arrived in the 69th minute.

Valbuena was teed up on the edge of the area by Beauvue and buried his shot past Ahamada into the bottom corner. Yann Bodiger fired narrowly wide from outside the box as Toulouse briefly threatened to make a game of it, but Cornet killed them off in stoppage time.

The teenage striker latched on to Beauvue's through ball and calmly finished past Ahamada to wrap up a comfortable win.

CAEN 0, NANTES 2

Goals from Yacine Bammou and Adrien Thomasson helped Nantes to a 2-0 win at Caen for its third straight victory in the French league Friday.

The win ended Caen's run of three consecutive wins and lifted Nantes to eighth place in the standings, 10 points behind leader Paris Saint-Germain.

Third-place Caen missed the chance to move within two points of PSG, which hosts Saint-Etienne on Sunday.

Bammou opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a shot from the edge of the box after making the most of a good build-up from Johan Audel and Emiliano Sala.

Caen had several chances after the interval but conceded against the run of the play when Thomasson connected with a cross from Wilried Moimbe at the hour mark.
