What one man discards, another may find valuable.

This is certainly the case when it comes to the Florida kicking situation. After holding a kicker tryout on Wednesday, Jim McElwain selected Dallas Stubbs as the winner. The kicker beat out 76 other participants for a spot on the roster.

With injuries to kickers Jorge Powell and Austin Hardin, the Gators were in need of a tangible body at the position. Enter Stubbs, who ironically enough was a member of the team in 2013. Perhaps even more ironic, Stubbs was cut by former head coach Will Muschamp to make room for Powell.

Should Hardin not be healthy by next week, Stubbs would be the option heading into Florida's big clash with rival Georgia.
