The Pelicans are expecting to make a bit of a leap this season, thanks to a healthier roster and a new head coach in Alvin Gentry who's expected to crank things up offensively.

Anthony Davis articulated that, with a quote that appeared in a longer piece by Ken Berger of CBSSports.com about whether or not New Orleans can improve enough to keep Davis happy.

"I feel great," Davis said. "Great coach coming in with new schemes. Everybody's coming back healthy. I think we can definitely be a great team in this league. It's all about what we do out there on the floor."

The comparison was made to Chris Paul, who played for the franchise for six seasons before ultimately forcing a trade to Los Angeles. But with Davis entering just his fourth NBA season, the Pelicans have some time before he may start to think about wanting to play anywhere else.
