Kasey Kahne has joined the growing fraternity of Sprint Cup Series drivers who are fathers.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver tweeted the good news on Tuesday morning, after he and girlfriend Sam Sheets welcomed a baby boy into the world.
From Kahne's Twitter post, all seems to be going well so far.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup garage has seen something of a baby boom in the last year or so, with Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski becoming first-time fathers in May. Kyle Larson had his first child born last December, two months after Clint Bowyer became a first-time father. Trevor Bayne's wife, Ashton, is pregnant with the couple's first child, while David Ragan's wife, Jacquelyn, is expecting their second.
