ATLANTA --With Saturday's rainout, the Braves and Cardinals will play a final-day doubleheader, a set that will be critical for Atlanta's spot in the upcoming draft.
The two teams will play in a doubleheader Sunday, with Game 1 scheduled for 1 p.m., with the season finale to follow 30 minutes later.
While these final two games are meaningless for St. Louis, which has already clinched the National League East and a 100-win season, they do carry weight as far as the Braves' draft pick.
Atlanta gets the No. 3 pick with a loss or a victory by the Rockies, who take on the Giants. But if the Rockies lose and the Braves take both games vs. the Cardinals, Atlanta slides to the No. 4 spot.
The Braves' win over the Cardinals in Friday's series opener eliminated them from getting the No. 1 overall pick.
The postponement also pushes back Shelby Miller's final chance this season to end his 24-game winless drought, a bid that will come against the team that traded him to Atlanta in November.
This is the first time the Braves have been postponed at Turner Field since May 4, 2013 an the 18th in the stadium's 19-year history.
