DAYTON, Ohio (AP) Connor Kacsor rushed 44 times for 229 yards and three 2-yard touchdowns and Dayton edged Kennesaw State 31-27 on Saturday night.

Dayton (3-0), which has trailed by two scores in all three of its victories, fell behind 13-0 and didn't lead until Kacsor scored with 1:30 left in the third quarter. The Flyers burned five minutes before William Will added a 37-yard field goal in the fourth.

Kacsor exceeded 200 yards for the sixth time. Alex Jeske threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Cory Stuart but had two passes intercepted.

Kennesaw State (3-1), in its first year of football, rushed for 254 yards in taking a 27-21 halftime lead but had only 93 yards total offense in the second half. Chaston Bennett ran for 155 yards on eight carries. Trey White added 128 yards rushing but had passes intercepted twice by Cameron Stubbs, who has four picks in the last two games.
