FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) Austin Jones' 25-yard field goal with seven seconds left gave Temple a 25-22 win over UMass on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
The Minutemen (0-2) appeared headed to a win after Blake Frohnapfel threw a 16-yard score to Jamal Wilson to give UMass a 23-20 lead with 1:20 remaining in the game.
But the point-after attempt was blocked, and the Owls' Will Hayes returned the ball for a defensive point after cutting the lead to 23-22.
