Rain forces NASCAR to postpone truck race at Chicago

JOLIET, Ill. (AP) Rain postponed the NASCAR Truck Series race Friday night at Chicagoland Speedway.

The race was rescheduled for Saturday morning after a heavy storm blew over the track late in the qualifying session. Thunder and lightning brought qualifying to an end, and NASCAR eventually waived off the race, too.

Kyle Larson will start from the pole in his first Truck Series race of the season.

The starting order was set by practice speeds, and Larson earned the top spot in his JR Motorsports entry.

Matt Crafton will start next to Larson on the front row.

Series points leader Erik Jones will start eighth. Jones has an eight-point advantage over Crafton, the two-time defending series champion.
