VALENCIA, Spain --

A second-half goal by Victor Camarasa gave Levante a 1-1 draw against Sevilla in the Spanish league on Friday.

France defensive midfielder Steven N'Zonzi opened the scoring for Sevilla in the 13th minute, beating goalkeeper Ruben Martinez with a powerful right-foot shot.

Sevilla coach Unai Emery was keen to lift his team from its 17th place - after a 3-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid and a first-round 0-0 draw at Malaga - and his team responded by playing well in the first half.

Sevilla goalkeeper Antonio Bastos got a glove to Jose Garcia's shot but the ball then bounced off the post and Camarasa got Levante's equalizer in the 58th.

Sevilla is provisionally 14th with two points after three rounds, with Levante one place above on goal average.
