Tyrus Thomas began his NBA career as a member of the Chicago Bulls in 2006, and the team had hopes he'd become a franchise cornerstone for years to come.

But rather than take his chances on a non-guaranteed training camp invite somewhere, Thomas has signed a deal with Germany Eisbaeren Bremerhaven, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.

Thomas had his best season statistically in 2009, when he averaged 10.8 points and 6.4 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per contest.
