CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) The start of Friday night's Kent State-Illinois game has been delayed because of lightning in the area.
Illinois sports information director Kent Brown said the soonest the game could start would be 30 minutes after the lightning clears the area.
The teams cleared the field and fans were ordered out of the stands just before 7:30 p.m. CDT.
