One of Kentucky's highest-ranked recruits in the 2014 recruiting class, linebacker Dorian Hendrix, has officially transferred to Bowling Green.

The transfer was announced in a press release Sunday.

"We are excited to add a player like Dorian to our program," Bowling Green coach Dino Babers said in the statement. "He comes from a great high school program in Huber Heights Wayne (Ohio) and will be a great addition to our linebacker unit and also our defense. We look forward to seeing the impact that Dorian will make on both our university and our football program in the future."

Hendrix was a three-star recruit in 2014 who was ranked the No. 25 inside linebacker in the country when he signed with Kentucky. He redshirted as a freshman and then announced his intentions to transfer earlier this year.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, Hendrix will have to sit out the 2015 season.
