It was announced yesterday that Texas Tech football coaches will be under one-year contracts starting this season, with percentage increases as a stipulation to the recently signed contracts. Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported on the story yesterday, with all the contract information per a records request with the university.

The contracts apply only to Tech assistant coaches, with the exception of defensive coordinator David Gibbs, whose two-year contract valued at $1.1 million signed in January is still being honored.
